Guidelines for SSC Examination 2024

The recently released SSC Routine 2024 also includes comprehensive instructions for the SSC examination 2024. Since the same routine applies to all education boards, the instructions remain consistent across the boards. Here are the detailed instructions:

  • Candidates are required to occupy their seats in the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
  • Exams must be taken according to the time specified on the question paper.
  • The multiple-choice section will be followed by the creative/compositional (theory) test without any break in between.
  • Candidates must retrieve their admit cards from the head of their respective educational institutions at least three days prior to the commencement of examinations.
  • Marks for physical education, health science and sports, and career education will be allocated by educational institutions based on continuous assessment in line with NCTB guidelines. These marks, along with practical examination scores, should be submitted online on the board’s website by the concerned center.
  • Candidates must correctly fill in the circles on their respective answer sheet OMR form with details like examination roll number, registration number, subject code, etc., and under no circumstances should the answer sheet be folded.
  • The examinations for the creative/compositional (theory), multiple-choice, and practical sections must be passed separately.
  • Candidates are allowed to take the examination only in the subject/subjects mentioned in their registration form and cannot appear for exams in different subjects.
  • The candidate’s examination (creative/composite (theoretical), multiple-choice, and practical) will not be held in their school/institute. Seat arrangements should be made through candidate transfers.
  • General scientific calculators are permitted for use during the exam.
  • Except for the center secretary, no other individual/examinee is allowed to bring or use a mobile phone in the examination center.
  • A single attendance sheet should be used for the candidate’s appearance in creative/compositional (theoretical), multiple-choice, and practical tests.
  • Practical tests will be conducted at respective centers/venues.
  • Candidates can apply for re-scrutiny online or through SMS within 7 days of the publication of exam results.
